The Boston Massacre

Do you remember John Adams? He didn't like to study when he was a boy. He liked to play. But if you asked someone who knew him, they would say that he studied more than anyone in the colony. That was true. But that was when he was older. He wanted freedom for his country. A mob of Americans teased a British soldier, so Captain Preston came to the soldier's rescue. Then it was all confusion. The mob got shot and the British didn't know if they were supposed to fire or not. So John sent a letter to King George about the soldiers. He said that they were protecting themselves from the Americans. But King George didn't even look at the letter.
