If you slap something, the sound wave travels to your ear. It goes through the ear canal, bumps on the eardrum, the ear drum hits the three bones, and the last bone hits a kind of liquid. There are cells on the liquid they wiggle and go to the brain. The sound wave traveled through the outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. January 6, 2005.
